Q1: In your opinion, what is the fundamental attributes for a goalkeeper to have in order to play at the highest level possible in today's modern game?

A1: In my eyes the fundamentals the goalkeeper should have these days are that he should be confident. You're the first line of attack and the last line of defence so if your players trust you then it will go a long way.

Q2: What originally interested you in being a goalkeeper and when did you start playing in goal?

A2: I got put in goal by chance at the age of 8 and stayed there ever since. Got scouted as a center half by West Ham at the age of 14 though!

Q3: What are your career ambitions and where do you see yourself in 5/10 years?

A3: My career ambitions are to work my way back up the leagues and be recognised as one of the best at what I do.

Q4: Do you have a role model?

A4: I'd say a role model to me would be Gianfranco Zola, he's a football man and he loves to get the ball down and play. That's my type of football. As a goalkeeper it would be Manuel Neuer, he oozes confidence and it runs through his team. He's a massive character as well which I like.

Thanks Sam!
